Pay

Our pay system is based on years of experience. We've designed our highly competitive pay rates to attract and retain talented and dedicated employees. We pay close attention to wages in the labor market to stay competitive.

Benefits

We're proud of the competitive benefits we offer to part time and full time staff. We modify our total compensation and benefits package from time to time to stay competitive. Here are a few of the highlights.

  • Paid Time Off: Your time is precious. Your initial PTO benefit is determined based on your years of experience credited at hire. You will find that BBAHC has a very generous Paid Time Off benefit!
  • Medical and Dental Insurance: BBAHC currently pays 100% of the premium cost for employee, and 60% of dependent cost.
  • Retirement Plan: Our no-cost profit sharing retirement plan has historically contributed 5% of an employee's annual income. In addition to our profit sharing retirement plan, we have a very competitive 401k retirement plan. BBAHC matches annual contributions on a progressive schedule up to 4%. You may also participate in the Roth/After-Tax deferral.
  • Group Term Life Insurance: There is two and a half times your annual salary up to $210,000.00.
  • Other Benefits: Long Term Disability, Employee Assistance Program, 12 holidays per year, continuing education programs.
  • Student Loan Repayment Opportunities: Health Professionals are eligible for education repayment programs under IHS, NHSC, or SHARP programs.

Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation manages Kanakanak Hospital, a critical access facility, which is Joint Commission accredited, receives Health and Human Services funding, and is covered through the Federal Tort Claim Act with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including liability for medical malpractice claims, for its officers, board members, employees, and certain health profession contractors and health profession volunteers. Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation is recognized by the US Government and State of Alaska as a tribal organization under PL 93-638.
