Medicaid Travel Offices Reduce Hours
BBAHC is sharing the announcement that Medicaid Travel Offices, HMS Gainwell and Corporate Travel Management, are moving to reduced hours on November 1, 2025 and will be closed on weekends.
What does this mean for patient travel?
- If a patient or patient/escort are stuck in transit, Corporate Travel Management (formerly STO) will book the patient or patient/escort for the next available flight. The PA (Prior Authorization) will need to be updated on the next open HMS business day.
- Urgent travel during the weekend will need to be reviewed by the Provider if a TA (Travel Authorization) or Medevac is necessary.
- Non-emergent travel will need to be rescheduled.
What can I do to avoid travel delays and disruptions?
Submit your patient travel requests early. Contact BBAHC patient travel with any questions or concerns in advance of your scheduled travel date.
