BBAHC Emergency Services Outreach Training

BBAHC is excited to announce the August and September Emergency Services Outreach Training Schedule!  In addition to offering Emergency Trauma Technician (ETT) and Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) courses in the listed communities, instructor Dr. Ben Maxon will be offering Basic Cardiac Life Support, CPR/AED and First Aids Courses on the weekends.  

First Responders in each community will be offered "First Responder Mental Health Awareness" Course (4 hours) prior to starting the ETT/EMR Training. The FRMHA Course will cover the following topics:
  • Understanding Over-all Mental Health​
  • Understanding Mental Illness​/Disease
  • Dealing with Mental Disorders, Behaviors and Aggressive Patients​
  • Communications​
  • First Responder-Patient Assessment
  • Aggressive Behavior & De-Escalation​
  • Drugs and Alcohol​
  • Understanding Suicide and Suicidal Patients​
  • Taking Care of Each Other​ (EMS Providers)

PLEASE NOTE: The above [First Responder Mental Health Awareness] course has been tailored to assist emergency care providers (First Responders) in dealing with Behavioral Emergencies and is not open to the general public.  Questions can be directed to:
