TSA ConfirmID Begins February 1

Are you planning on flying on or after February 1, 2026?  Read this information to get prepared for upcoming changes the TSA has just announced:

Starting February 1, 2026, travelers 18 years and older who arrive at a TSA checkpoint without an acceptable ID may be required to pay a $45 identity verification fee through TSA ConfirmID. TSA strongly recommends traveling with a REAL ID or another acceptable form of identification.  Passengers with a valid ID will not be charged.

Acceptable IDs include:

  • Passport (book, card, or digital)
  • State-issued Enhanced Driver's License
  • DHS Trusted Traveler cards (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI)
  • U.S. Military ID (including dependents)
  • Enhanced Tribal Cards
  • TWIC
