April is Child Abuse Prevention Month

National Child Abuse Prevention Month recognizes the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect.  As Alaska consistently struggles with some of the highest rates of child abuse and neglect in the nation, prevention services and supports are necessary.

At “Nitaput” Child Advocacy Center, we provide a child-friendly facility where public safety personnel and healthcare providers can meet to coordinate an investigation of possible child abuse.  To learn more about “Nitaput” Child Advocacy Center, and how we can provide for our community, visit: https://bbahc.org/cac.
