Celebrate BBAHC Staff Accomplishments!

BBAHC is celebrating the recent staff achievement of Nathalie Dull, Prevention and Recovery Program Director at Jake's Place, who completed her Master of Science in Nursing Degree, Family Nurse Practitioner Program, from the University of South Alabama. Ms. Dull completed two sub-specialties; one in Addictions and the other in Social Determinants of Health. In addition, she recently passed the board exam for national certification and is in the process of obtaining state licensure.

Nathalie indicated that her studies have highlighted the deep interconnectedness between brain and body health, as well as the powerful role environmental factors play in the development of substance use disorder and other chronic conditions such as cancer and heart disease. Looking ahead, she is interested in expanding work in preventing toxic stress and the development of substance use disorders, as well as strengthening aftercare services to better support sustained, long-term recovery.
