BBAHC Receives Rural Stroke Award

The American Heart Association (AHA), has notified BBAHC that the Kanakanak Hospital has achieved the Get With The Guidelines®-Rural Stroke Silver Award.  This achievement brings national attention to Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation for enhancing patient care with evidence-based guidelines.  The award was made possible through multi-disciplinary team efforts in the Emergency Department, Clinical and Ancillary Services, and Quality.  

BBAHC shares the American Heart Association’s approach to improving patient outcomes across cardiovascular and stroke focus areas. That’s why we embrace the latest science by participating in the Get With The Guidelines® program. This award recognizes our dedication to a high standard of care for all patients. We’ve been recognized for observing those guidelines so that patients can live longer and healthier lives.
